Tourism Economics Appoints Chuck Davison Vice President of Commercial Strategy & Partnerships

Proven growth leader behind Tourism Economics’ Attribution Solutions expansion to guide commercial strategy across the full portfolio.

WAYNE, PA – Tourism Economics, an Oxford Economics company, today announced that Chuck Davison has been appointed Vice President of Commercial Strategy & Partnerships. In this expanded role, Davison will lead global commercial strategy, strengthen strategic partnerships, and accelerate how Tourism Economics brings its full portfolio of solutions to market.

Tourism Economics, celebrating its 20th year, has experienced remarkable growth over the last five years, supported by deep industry expertise, trusted methodologies, and a growing suite of solutions that help destinations and travel organizations make confident decisions. Davison will help translate that momentum into scalable commercial strategy and partner development, ensuring clients can access the right mix of expertise and offerings across Tourism Economics’ portfolio.

Brought on to launch and grow Tourism Economics’ Attribution Solutions, Davison helped turn the Website Impact Calculator (WIC) and Media Impact Calculator (MIC) into widely adopted tools that connect marketing performance to real-world visitation and economic outcomes. In 18 months, he led the expansion of the business to 185+ destination clients nationwide—delivering decision-ready insights that strengthen optimization, accountability, advocacy, and ROI storytelling—while helping build the team needed to scale with Tourism Economics’ signature rigor and quality.

“Chuck brings an uncommon combination of commercial leadership, destination perspective, and deep travel industry experience,” said Adam Sacks, President of Tourism Economics. “He understands what decision-makers need because he’s been in their seat, and he knows how to build strategies and partnerships that deliver measurable results. We’re thrilled to see him lead this next phase of growth.”

“I’ve seen Tourism Economics’ value from both sides: first as a client, and now as part of the team,” said Chuck Davison. “I’m excited to build on our momentum, deepen our partnerships, and help more destinations and travel organizations leverage our industry-leading data and expertise.”

Davison brings more than 30 years of leadership experience spanning travel, tourism, and technology. Prior to joining Tourism Economics, he served as President & CEO of Visit SLO CAL, where he helped guide the organization’s growth and positioning as a premier destination. He also held senior leadership roles at Expedia, among other travel industry positions. Chuck is based in Colorado with his family.
