Kieran Ferran is an Associate Director at Tourism Economics, with a focus on forecasting tourism at the city level. Kieran manages our Global City Travel (GCT) service, which provides forecasts of bilateral tourism flows for over 330 cities, covering key tourism indicators including overnight arrivals and tourism spending. Kieran specialises in improving our data collection and processing techniques to expand and enhance our forecast models. Kieran regularly produces custom city forecasts for a range of public and private organisations, particularly new or developing tourist destinations across the world. Kieran has led the expansion of Tourism Economics’ Event Impact Calculator outside North America, providing Destination Marketing Organisations with an online platform to measure the direct and indirect economic impacts of events hosted in their cities. Kieran graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2010 with a degree in Economics.
