Michael Shoory

Michael is Tourism Economics’ Head of Analysis for Asia-Pacific (APAC), leading our assessment of trends and developments in the region and presenting our tourism outlook at industry events. Having worked with Tourism Economics since 2018, Michael has delivered a variety of projects for clients, including economic impact analysis for attractions, events and sub-sectors of the industry, custom forecasts and scenarios, and the impact of various policies on tourism demand. Michael graduated from Western Sydney University with a Bachelor of Economics (Honours – First Class) and has worked as an economist since 2011, including seven years at the Reserve Bank of Australia.
